Subject: 2007 PLAYER AWARD FOUNDATION
ALL MANAGERS- The National Junior Baseball League is proud to
announce the establishment of the National Junior Baseball League Player Award
Foundation which will be offering a total of TEN (10) $1000 awards to players
who compete and are rostered in the 16-17-18 year old divisions of the National
Junior Baseball League in one or all of the 2007 seasons (SPRING, SUMMER and
FALL). The awards will be determined by a random drawing, which will include all
rostered players in the 16-17-18 year old divisions, that will be held in
November 2007. The 10 players who win the award for 2007 will be posted on line
at our web site at www.nationaljunior.com. Both the
recipient player and his manager will be notified.
The National Junior
Baseball League Player Award Foundation has been set up by the National Junior
Baseball League to benefit players who participate in the League.
The
board of directors of the National Junior Baseball League Player Award
Foundation is comprised of managers from the National Junior Baseball league as
well as members of various communities from Long Island.
As of November 7, 2007 the following persons sit on the Player Award Foundation
board:
Bob Bente
Glenn Confessore
Chris Derosa
Patrick LoPipero
Jan Rosenblum
Frank Sullivan
Brian Tighe
The eligibility rules for the drawing are:
1) There will be ten (10) $1000 awards given out to players that played in the
NJBL's 16-17-18 year-old division for the 2007 Spring, Summer and Fall.
The awards given out will total $10,000.
2) The recipient must be 16 years-old by the end of 2007.
3) A player may only win the award once per year.
The players will be selected in a random drawing conducted by Bob Bente, Web Scoring
Systems, from our web site database. Present at the drawing will be members of the
Players Award Foundation committee. The players that are chosen will be announced
before the end of 2007.
